How Flexible And Sensitive Are You In The Spirit?

Have you understood the value of listening to God, or you are still hearing yourself while listening to God? Being sensitive in the Spirit of God is your ability to listen to God. Many of us hear God, but don’t listen. Hearing is when you are telling God, “God, talk to me, but stop there because I also have something to say”. Listening is “I am trying to listen, not to react, but to understand. Father, my situation and my faith may not agree, but I know Who You are, that when you speak, things happen”. God is The Amen.

11 So will My word be which goes out of My mouth;
It will not return to Me void (useless, without result),
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55 : 11

Do you read The Holy Scriptures to look for an answer to your problems? Or do you read, study, and meditate on The Holy Scriptures looking for Who God is in His Scriptures? Then you are wondering why you are not growing in God? Listening is understanding without reacting: your emotions are not being taken into God’s Presence, but you take your faith there. That is why when you meet your burning bush, the first thing God will tell you is to remove your shoes.

5 Then God said, “Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet [out of respect], because the place on which you are standing is holy ground.”

Exodus 3 : 5

It means, when you are in the Presence of God, remove every familiar knowledge, every familiar problem, every familiar stress, every familiar anxiety, EVERYTHING! The burning bush will consume everything and will create a new you.

1 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Now hear this: I make you as God to Pharaoh [to declare My will and purpose to him]; and your brother Aaron shall be your prophet.

Exodus 7 : 1

God is looking for people to look like Him at any level that He has allowed you to be at: your workplace, your school, your family, your community, etc. But guess what we say? “I cannot speak; I don’t have eloquence”; “I cannot manage this.”

10 Then Moses said to the LORD, “Please, Lord, I am not a man of words (eloquent, fluent), neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; for I am slow of speech and tongue.” 11 The LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute or the deaf, or the seeing or the blind? Is it not I, the LORD? 12 “Now then go, and I, even I, will be with your mouth, and will teach you what you shall say.”

Exodus 4 : 10 – 12

God was saying “Who is Sovereign? Who can choose to make you rich or broke? Who can you make you king or not king?” When you read The Word, you will see God flexing: “I am God. There is no one else like Me. I declare the beginning from the end”. Imagine, God first finishes to deal with the end before coming to start with you in the beginning. That’s why everytime He speaks to you, He starts with this, “Don’t be afraid”. He already knows that you are afraid, but He is saying, imagine your end and submit to Him. God is Our Beginning and Our End. He is not beginning or ending; He is Eternal. He knows when to start something and when to end it.

6 I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return].

Philippians 1 : 6

So, why are we worried? But the devil knows how to play his tricks; he is cunning. He comes and shows you your limitations, for example, what other people think about you. Let me tell you something: every person who died without leaving a legacy that was built in God will be forgotten. They can get access to be in the history books, but not in the hearts of people. We are still hearing the God of Moses, the God of Daniel. We need people to attach God to our names. We need to have that revolting spirit where we say, “It is abnormal for us to spend 24 hours without someone seeing Our God”. What are you ready to sacrifice for the sake of The Gospel?
