Never stop being a student, because once you think that you know everything, you will cause the universe to throw you more lessons (Proverbs 1:5; Proverbs 18:15)
5The wise will hear and increase their learning,
And the person of understanding will acquire wise counsel and the skill [to steer his course wisely and lead others to the truth],Proverbs 1 : 5
15The mind of the prudent [always] acquires knowledge,
And the ear of the wise [always] seeks knowledge.Proverbs 18 : 15
Great teachers are always great students, so learn from everything which happens to you because it will make you wiser (Proverbs 4:7).
7The beginning of wisdom is: Get [skillful and godly] wisdom [it is preeminent]!
And with all your acquiring, get understanding [actively seek spiritual discernment, mature comprehension, and logical interpretation].Proverbs 4 : 7
However, experience isn’t the best teacher, but The Holy Spirit is. Stop letting life be your teacher because of your selfish nature of not allowing God to process you the way He wants you to be for His Glory here in this life under the sun. The arrogant will say that the best teacher is experience, while the wise will be convinced within themselves that The Best Teacher is The Holy Spirit (John 14:16; James 1:5).
16And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever— 17the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.
John 14 : 16
5If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.
James 1 : 5
We do what we do because we find full satisfaction, not comfort, and as we choose the adventure of excellence, then any discomfort will push us to be greater and better at what we do so that it can put us in a position to be where we deserve to be. Always remember, the hurt that you don’t want, God is using it to heal you; don’t fight, but learn from it. You won’t know the real you until you pass through temporary challenges. Your problems are just practice for the next level, and your mistakes aren’t losses, but lessons; your failure isn’t final, but a part of your successful journey (Romans 8:28).
28And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.
Romans 8 : 28
Every time you fall and repent but are still worried about the consequences, then you have the chance to mess up again. That’s why you need to understand that God isn’t waiting to punish you every time you sin “ignorance”, but He is waiting to see that if His Grace bailed you out this time, are you going to have the audacity to take His Grace for granted again? That should be your concern, not the consequences. Learn your lessons and keep them in your memory, and when it is necessary, then use your memory to remind yourself of what shouldn’t happen again. Be free from guilt; just go confess, but necessarily repent by changing your mind (1 John 1:9; Proverbs 3:11-12; Proverbs 12:1).
9If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose].
1 John 1 : 9
11My son, do not reject or take lightly the discipline of the LORD [learn from your mistakes and the testing that comes from His correction through discipline];
Nor despise His rebuke,12For those whom the LORD loves He corrects,
Even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights.Proverbs 3 : 11-12
1Whoever loves instruction and discipline loves knowledge,
But he who hates reproof and correction is stupid.Proverbs 12 : 1
How do you know that you are honest enough? It is when you acknowledge that you are not ready to have what you have prayed for because you will mess it up; and the truth is you prayed but remained unprepared. Now, would you pray for what you will destroy because you are not prepared to make, maintain, and multiply? Remember, as long as you pray for that miracle, always remember to pray as hard as you can about the management of that miracle. The blessings don’t manage you, but you are entrusted by The Blesser “God” with blessings to manage for His glory. Then, enjoy the process so that the passion you got during the process will maintain you during your progress. And, always remember that there is no elevation without proper preparation. God loves you so much.
