Mental health is defined as our psychological, behavioral, emotional, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, act, our physical health: it also helps to determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make decisions in life. Stress, depression, and anxiety can all affect our mental health and disrupt our routine. That is why we must understand how powerful God created the mind to be, and learn how to regulate your mental health, because if your mind can make you sick, it can also heal you. Everyone has a good side and an evil side in their mind: the side which you will feed the most, will have control over the outcome of your surroundings. The only deliberate thing we have control over is our ability to think, because what we create in our head will either build our heart or destroy it. That is why only thought we must allow to occupy the biggest space in our mind is: are we living for ourselves, or for God’s life to live in us and through us every day? You must know and understand that your mind isn’t you, but you are your own mind: it means that you are the landlord, and your mind is your tenant; if your mind is your tenant, then that means that your thoughts are your roommate. When you manage the food of your thoughts, then your mind will be at peace; that’s what is called having peace of mind, because your peace of mind is your responsibility as your inner peace is the responsibility of Your Creator.

“ You submit to what you spend most of your time focusing on; if you focus on faith, then your mind will respond it & relate to it, but when you focus on fear, then your mind will respond & relate to it.”

The Mind

Your mind is the most powerful tool that God gave you. God created us with a mind, but He created us in His mind first. We are our mind, but our mind cannot be us. God gave us the power to control our minds; we must not fight it, but relate with it like we are the landlord, & it is the tenant. And as long as the tenant is obeying the rules, then they are welcome to stay. Without complete renewal through the transformation of our minds by God, we will not understand which life is pleasing to Him; before we live in total victory, our mind has to be in a victorious position.

In other words, don’t live deep in your mind & don’t allow your mind to control you, but control your mind. You submit to what you spend most of your time focusing on; if you focus on faith, then your mind will respond it & relate to it, but when you focus on fear, then your mind will respond & relate to it. The Bible says the eye is the lamp of the body which means that what your mind visualizes is what you will see. For example, if all you see is insecurities, that’s all you’ll see and that’s what will surround you.

Strengthening God’s mind within us is our ability to increase our intimacy with Our Creator. This is attained by feeding our spirit & growing our relationship with God by submitting our lives fully to Him and the Holy Spirit.

Anxiety

Anxiety is overthinking your future proving your lack of faith in God’s process and lack of gratitude for where you are. Every time you project a future yet to exist, and have fear of the past repeating itself, then you will be worried and at unease, which results into you being anxious.

Your future is the small steps you consistently make, one at a time in your present life, so that you live a life full of gratitude to The Almighty God every day.

There are two ways to overcome anxiety:

Start seeing yourself as a needed person, and not a needy person. And always trust God at each level you are in life because there is always a divine purpose.

Depression

Depression is holding onto your past so dearly due to your lack of forgiveness towards yourself and others. Panic attacks are the absence of The Light of God in your present moment because of lack of gratitude for what you have right now.

Your past doesn’t matter because it is no longer existent to the one who is truly born again; and if you don’t leave your past in the past, then your present won’t last. Healing from your past means living in your future through your present moment. Forgive yourself for your past because it doesn’t define you; allow God’s Powerful Word to define you, not your past. Every time you live in your non-existent past, you get depressed, so live in your already given present moment with gratitude and greatness because that will make you truly happy.

Your past can only be used as reference to avoid recycling any bad behavior and any patterns from over repeating themselves in your life, as a new and transformed child of God.
