The greatest gift God gave us besides Salvation is the gift of time here on earth. In a world where the systems are created to control the narrative of your time, the mistake you can make is to think that you have more time to do what you should do, or you have time to be who you should be.
15 Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor, purpose, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil], not as the unwise, but as wise [sensible, intelligent, discerning people], 16 making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil.
Ephesians 5 : 15-16
You can understand timing in the easiest concept, for instance: some people buy watches to know their time, and others buy watches to be on time and value their time. Begin to value time as a major resource, because when you learn to maximize time, then you will maximize the harvest too. The most foolish thing human beings can do is to think that they have so much time left, and that they are only living for themselves: just for their own, and not for whom or what they have been created for by God to fulfill here on earth; their Divine purpose under the sun.
12 So teach us to number our days,
That we may cultivate and bring to You a heart of wisdom.Psalms 90 : 12
Every time you procrastinate, life doesn’t wait for you, so do it with passion and love because practice creates rooms of improvements, not rooms of perfection. Don’t postpone your God-given right to be great and excellent throughout your service to the well-being of others for God’s Glory, not yours.
6 Go to the ant, O lazy one;
Observe her ways and be wise, 7 Which, having no chief,
Overseer or ruler, 8 She prepares her food in the summer
And brings in her provisions [of food for the winter] in the harvest.Proverbs 6 : 6-8
5 The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance and advantage,
But everyone who acts in haste comes surely to poverty.Proverbs 21 : 5
When you delay to live today fully as a blessed day God has ordained for you to glorify Him, then you will be a fool to think that you know how much time you have left to live. If you don’t live today, then even if you are blessed to see tomorrow, you won’t live successfully in a tomorrow that you have not prepared to live into while being in your today.
1 Do not boast about tomorrow,
For you do not know what a day may bring.Proverbs 27 : 1
13 Come now [and pay attention to this], you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and carry on our business and make a profit.” 14 Yet you do not know [the least thing] about what may happen in your life tomorrow. [What is secure in your life?] You are merely a vapor [like a puff of smoke or a wisp of steam from a cooking pot] that is visible for a little while and then vanishes [into thin air].
James 4 : 13 – 14
Life is happening right now, and existing without living is when your yesterday is more interesting than your today, and when your future is more anticipated than the excitement provided by your today. Then, you need to heal from your past and unlearn your projection of a future that you are not preparing for in your today. Always remember that only God knows the time we all have left with, here on earth, so we should not take the gift of life for granted as we serve God’s interests first in all things and in the lives of each other, and living everyday in His Purpose here on earth for His Glory in the lives of others. Your future began yesterday, and you have only one present moment to rewrite it. Don’t take God’s grace for granted: use the time allocated to always grow and learn something new and be corrected.
