We need to redefine what wealth is. Wealth isn’t a curse until it is the only thing which defines you as a human being. Wealth is found in growing to find a well-balanced life. True wealth is when you can have the freedom to have an intimate relationship with God at any given time; wealth is not measured by how much you have in your account, but it is when God’s presence is so present in your life every day and being present in presence is more than anything you may want or desire here on earth.
God’s definition of wealth is how much someone fully submits to The Holy Spirit and has embraced and mastered the art of understanding that you should be present in His presence everytime. True wealth is when you are living in whom you are created to be and what you are created to do. True wealth is when you have a good and stable spiritual health, physical health, mental health, emotional health, and financial health. True wealth is waking up everyday by God’s Grace without any weight of pressure created by the needs and wants created by this world: it is also when you can wake up at the time you want without the fear to face tomorrow because God has sorted tomorrow out through the savings and return on investments you have. True wealth is when you know that you won’t take anything in the after-life except your soul, spirit, and good deeds you did to others for God’s glory while you were still on earth: when you have freedom to give to those in need: orphans, widows, foreigners, and poor people; showing them who God is through your kindness and compassion.
True wealth is uncommon wisdom: it is when you have discernment to know who is there with you for a reason, a season, or a lifetime, so that you don’t lose focus on a temporary journey, while investing in someone’s permanent guidelines; all this without losing the person you really are in God’s eyes and in the world’s eyes. True wealth is when you can have the freedom to spend your money with the people you love and who truly love you. Someone told me that I look wealthy and I replied that I really am wealthy. He asked, “Are you wealthy because you wear expensive stuff and have money?” I answered, “None of that makes me wealthy because it is all vanity. I am wealthy because I have eternal life through Jesus Christ, my King and Savior”. God’s wisdom has made me so wealthy in my head, so healthy in my heart, and so rich in my hands, that lack is so scared to even think about approaching me. That is what we call God-fidence. Wealth is a mindset; it means focusing on constructive thoughts of life that build and not destroy, focusing on conquering evil thoughts daily by controlling and relating with our mind using the power God gave us, and allowing our mind to be renewed every day.
Wealth is never a prayer point, but wealth from God is a covenant thing: it is a man or a woman who spiritually and physically observed God’s principles with consistency as a major proof of mastery, will have wealth will align itself to their divine purpose and assignment here on earth, because they deeply know that they are a problem solver, not a problem contributor. It is a response to your consistent devotion to your divine purpose here on earth. True wealth is in the heart, not only in the pocket. Remember to be a blessing to others God’s way and for His Glory because God blessed you to be a blessing; that’s true wealth with substance. This is our bread if we want to be used by God through His wealth for His Glory: Genesis 1:26-28; Genesis 26:12-33; Deuteronomy 8:17-18; Joshua 1:8-9; Proverbs 10:15-22; Proverbs 19:4&19; Proverbs 21:13; Ecclesiastes 7:11-12; Matthew 7:7-8; Matthew 25:14-30.
26Then God said, “Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth.” 27So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28And God blessed them [granting them certain authority] and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it [putting it under your power]; and rule over (dominate) the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the earth.”
Genesis 1 : 26-28
12Then Isaac planted [seed] in that land [as a farmer] and reaped in the same year a hundred times [as much as he had planted], and the LORD blessed and favored him. 13And the man [Isaac] became great and gained more and more until he became very wealthy and extremely distinguished; 14he owned flocks and herds and a great household [with a number of servants], and the Philistines envied him. 15Now all the wells which his father’s servants had dug in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines stopped up by filling them with dirt.
16Then Abimelech said to Isaac, “Go away from here, because you are far too powerful for us.” 17So Isaac left that region and camped in the Valley of Gerar, and settled there. 18Now Isaac again dug [and reopened] the wells of water which had been dug in the days of Abraham his father, because the Philistines had filled them up [with dirt] after the death of Abraham; and he gave the wells the same names that his father had given them. 19But when Isaac’s servants dug in the valley and found there a well of flowing [spring] water, 20the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac’s herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours!” So Isaac named the well Esek (quarreling), because they quarreled with him.
21Then his servants dug another well, and they quarreled over that also, so Isaac named it Sitnah (enmity). 22He moved away from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over that one; so he named it Rehoboth (broad places), saying, “For now the LORD has made room for us, and we shall be prosperous in the land.”23Then he went up from there to Beersheba. 24The LORD appeared to him the same night and said, “I am the God of Abraham your father; Do not be afraid, for I am with you. I will bless and favor you, and multiply your descendants, For the sake of My servant Abraham.” 25So Isaac built an altar there and called on the name of the LORD [in prayer]. He pitched his tent there; and there Isaac’s servants dug a well.
26Then Abimelech came to him from Gerar with Ahuzzath, his [close friend and confidential] adviser, and Phicol, the commander of his army. 27Isaac said to them, “Why have you [people] come to me, since you hate me and have sent me away from you?” 28They said, “We see clearly that the LORD has been with you; so we said, ‘There should now be an oath between us [with a curse for the one who breaks it], that is, between you and us, and let us make a covenant (binding agreement, solemn promise) with you, 29that you will not harm us, just as we have not touched you and have done nothing but good to you and have sent you away in peace. You are now the blessed and favored of the LORD!’”
30Then Isaac held a [formal] banquet (covenant feast) for them, and they ate and drank. 31They got up early in the morning and swore oaths [pledging to do nothing but good to each other]; and Isaac sent them on their way and they left him in peace. 32Now on the same day, Isaac’s servants came and told him about the well they had dug, saying, “We have found water.” 33So he named the well Shibah; therefore the name of the city is Beersheba to this day.
Genesis 26 : 12-33
17Otherwise, you may say in your heart, ‘My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth.’ 18But you shall remember [with profound respect] the LORD your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore (solemnly promised) to your fathers, as it is this day.
Deuteronomy 8 : 17-18
8This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful. 9“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated), for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1 : 8-9
15The rich man’s wealth is his fortress;
The ruin of the poor is their poverty.16The wages of the righteous [the upright, those in right standing with God] is [a worthwhile, meaningful] life, The income of the wicked, punishment.
17He who learns from instruction and correction is on the [right] path of life [and for others his example is a path toward wisdom and blessing],
But he who ignores and refuses correction goes off course [and for others his example is a path toward sin and ruin].18He who hides hatred has lying lips, And he who spreads slander is a fool.
19When there are many words, transgression and offense are unavoidable, But he who controls his lips and keeps thoughtful silence is wise.
20The tongue of the righteous is like precious silver (greatly valued);
The heart of the wicked is worth little.21The lips of the righteous feed and guide many, But fools [who reject God and His wisdom] die for lack of understanding.
22The blessing of the LORD brings [true] riches,
And He adds no sorrow to it [for it comes as a blessing from God].Proverbs 10 : 15-22
4Wealth makes many friends,
But a poor man is separated from his friend.19A man of great anger will bear the penalty [for his quick temper and lack of self-control];
For if you rescue him [and do not let him learn from the consequences of his action], you will only have to rescue him over and over again.Proverbs 19 : 4 & 19
13Whoever shuts his ears at the cry of the poor
Will cry out himself and not be answered.Proverbs 21 : 13
11Wisdom along with an inheritance is good
And an [excellent] advantage for those who see the sun.12For wisdom is a protection even as money is a protection,
But the [excellent] advantage of knowledge is that wisdom shields and preserves the lives of its possessors.Ecclesiastes 7 : 11-12
7Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who keeps on asking receives, and he who keeps on seeking finds, and to him who keeps on knocking, it will be opened.
Matthew 7 : 7-8
14“For it is just like a man who was about to take a journey, and he called his servants together and entrusted them with his possessions. 15To one he gave five talents, to another, two, and to another, one, each according to his own ability; and then he went on his journey. 16The one who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he [made a profit and] gained five more. 17Likewise the one who had two [made a profit and] gained two more. 18But the one who had received the one went and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.
19“Now after a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. 20And the one who had received the five talents came and brought him five more, saying, ‘Master, you entrusted to me five talents. See, I have [made a profit and] gained five more talents.’ 21His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little, I will put you in charge of many things; share in the joy of your master.’
22“Also the one who had the two talents came forward, saying, ‘Master, you entrusted two talents to me. See, I have [made a profit and] gained two more talents.’ 23His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little, I will put you in charge of many things; share in the joy of your master.’
24“The one who had received one talent also came forward, saying, ‘Master, I knew you to be a harsh and demanding man, reaping [the harvest] where you did not sow and gathering where you did not scatter seed. 25‘So I was afraid [to lose the talent], and I went and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is your own.’
26“But his master answered him, ‘You wicked, lazy servant, you knew that I reap [the harvest] where I did not sow and gather where I did not scatter seed. 27‘Then you ought to have put my money with the bankers, and at my return I would have received my money back with interest. 28‘So take the talent away from him, and give it to the one who has the ten talents.’
29“For to everyone who has [and values his blessings and gifts from God, and has used them wisely], more will be given, and [he will be richly supplied so that] he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have [because he has ignored or disregarded his blessings and gifts from God], even what he does have will be taken away. 30And throw out the worthless servant into the outer darkness; in that place [of grief and torment] there will be weeping [over sorrow and pain] and grinding of teeth [over distress and anger].
Matthew 25 : 14-30
